I can't believe it

Our little girl is walking. Yup. She has flirted with the idea over the last week with a few baby steps here and there. But tonight she took the plunge. She stood up and decided she would take multiple steps at a time. I grabbed the camera just in time to catch the tail end of the action. Also, a few weeks ago she discovered the joy of clapping. It is such a small thing, but she is SO proud of herself. I find her clapping in her crib when I pick her up from a nap. I look in the rear view mirror as I drive and she is clapping. As I nurse her I look down and I find her clapping (how she manages to do both at the same time is no minor feat!). So it is fitting that in the momentous occasion of walking on two legs she would take the time to clap at every turn. In no less than three weeks we celebrate her 1st year of life. What a blessed year it has been!

Yay!!! She's doing great! I can't wait to see her new moves in person. Tell Matt that I love the shorts and black socks look, so cutting edge :)

ALINA MICHELLE KODATT!!!!!!! I have been waiting for 7 months to send you your CHRISTMAS present. I could almost be having another baby in that time...haha...not having another child. Really. NOT having another child.

Speaking of children, Ian is walking, too- oh, so much fun! I'm enjoying this age, though he is teething and can be very fussy sometimes. I hope life in FL is good...and not too hot:)

I miss you. Please call or write sometime. I'd love to hear how you are doing....and send you your present.

Happy extremely belated birthday in April.

LIESL

Hurray Karis! Ab was a self-congratulater, too. It is so much fun now, though, because my kids congratulate each other over such trivial things, but it is cute. "Yay, Aiden, you took a sip from my big-girl cup!" "Good job, Abby, you did it. You eat your food!" Yeah, verb tense is still a future accomplishment for Aiden. Thanks for the peak into your lives. You are in my prayers always. Kiss your sweet baby for me!

It was so fun to see the video. Not just because of your little girl, but to HEAR YOUR VOICE, Alina!! Sigh. Made me happy.

I hope Karis had a very special first birthday! Abby said a prayer for her on her big girl day...she always prays for our loved ones on their birthdays. You all are loved and in our prayers!
